Trading names, brands, legal entities, subsidiaries and business groups are modelled separately. A shared name never justifies a merge.

姓氏、语言、菜系或社团身份不能单独证明广东籍贯。本人出生地与家族祖籍分别记录。
Surname, language, cuisine or association membership cannot alone prove Guangdong origin. Birthplace and family ancestry remain distinct.
连续时间与四期视图
Continuous time, four analytical periods
事件保存日、月、年、年代或区间等原始精度，再映射到四个时期，支持跨期比较。
Events retain day, month, year, decade or interval precision before mapping to four analytical periods for comparison.
建议引用格式Suggested citation
“近代新加坡粤籍华商与企业关联数据库”，数据版本［版本号］，实体［名称］，访问日期［日期］，并列具体来源。“Cantonese Merchants and Enterprise Linkages in Singapore,” data version [version], entity [name], accessed [date], together with the cited source locator.
